Dr Malcolm Heath BVSc

Director / Veterinarian
UQ Vets Dayboro

Director and Chief Veterinarian, UQ VETS Dayboro

Malcolm has over 20 years local and international experience as a mixed practice veterinarian. More than 17 of those have been spent right here at UQ VETS Dayboro. He is an accomplished surgeon across all species and has a particular love for large animals. Malcolm has earned the respect of staff, students and colleagues alike, for his surgical skills, problem solving abilities and “Can Do” approach. As Director of the Dayboro Clinic, Malcolm’s philosophy has been to grow the clinic team with dedicated staff who share his passion for teaching, learning and patient care. He leads that team, comprising staff and student vets to ensure diverse opinions are considered in delivering the optimal patient outcome.

Malcolm particularly loves working with large animals where his long, mixed practice experience comes to the fore. As a veterinary practitioner and surgeon, Malcom takes on many of the more unusual cases and with his team, ensures the best possible outcome for his patients and their worried owners. Mal’s work with alpacas, goats, sheep and camels is highly regarded in the veterinary industry. Malcolm is a farmer at heart and when he isn’t at work saving lives he can be found on his King Scrub  property where he lives with his young family, a growing herd of cattle and a motley pack of ‘working’ dogs.
